सरकार ने चोरी या गुम हुए मोबाइल फोन को अवरुद्ध और ट्रेस करने की सुविधा के लिए CEIR (सेंट्रल इक्विपमेंट आइडेंटिटी रजिस्टर) पोर्टल लॉन्च किया है।

How to know the mobile IMEI number?
मोबाइल का IMEI नंबर कैसे जानें?

from your mobile you can check the IMEI number by dialing *306#, IMEI number will be shown on the mobile screen.

On this website through KYM(Know Your Mobile), you can check the validity of your mobile device before buying it. IMEI is written on the mobile packaging box. It could be found on the mobile bill/invoice. From your mobile, you can check the IMEI number by dialing *#06# the IMEI number will be shown on the mobile screen. If the status of the mobile is shown as black-listed, Duplicate, or already in use please avoid buying the mobile phone. KYM could be used by following these three steps easily,   

1. Type KYM <15 digit IMEI number> from your mobile and send the SMS to 14422.
2. Download the KYM app from Play Store (for Android) or from App Store (for iOS).
